My name is Alessandra Anna Maria Toni, and I am an Italian psychologist, a psychotherapist in training with a post-Freudian psychodynamic approach, and a mental trainer, based in Vienna. I am driven by a passion for exploring the depths of the human mind and its connections to emotions, creativity, and relationships.
Having experienced the challenges of relocating from my homeland, I deeply understand the complexities faced by expats. This personal journey enables me to empathize with those navigating the difficulties of adapting to new cultures and environments. Additionally, as a pianist and composer, I am intimately familiar with the unique pressures and anxieties that musicians encounter, particularly in performance settings.
My background reflects the dialogue between art and science. I have spent years immersed in the universal language of music, which I see as a bridge between the inner world and the outer one. At the same time, I pursued a Ph.D. in foreign languages at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Milan, refining my ability to interpret human narratives across cultures.
Later, I answered the call of psychology and neurosciences, earning a master’s degree. Due to personal experience, the specialization in neurosciences allows me to better understand unconscious and emotional processes. For this reason, I decided to extend my competences, carryin on with psychotherapy at the International School of Specialization with the Imaginative Procedure (SISPI) in Milan.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathetic listening and the appreciation of each individual’s uniqueness. I draw inspiration from post-Freudian theories, with a particular focus on the unconscious dynamics that shape choices, behaviors, and relationships. I believe in the transformative power of therapy, a shared journey aimed at uncovering inner resources and fostering change.
I provide support in various areas, including stress and anxiety, relational and sexual difficulties, expats issues, music coaching, self-esteem and trauma. My practice focuses on helping clients navigate these challenges and uncover their strengths, fostering personal growth and resilience.
Alongside my clinical path, I continue to cultivate my artistic activity and explore how music and psychology can interact to promote emotional well-being. Every step of my professional journey is guided by the desire to help people discover and fully live their potential.
I offer in-person consultations or online sessions, which can be conducted in Italian, English, or German.
